Inverness's "Highland Swing" was formed in the Summer of 2004 by enthusiasts of swing and jazz music. Since that time we have established a very strong presence in the local community and, despite going through numerous personnel changes, have gone from strength to strength. This summer we made our first appearance at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

The band's players' ages, like their experience, cover a wide range. But then experience is not the most important criterion we look for in a band member. No, we would prefer enthusiasm. But the knowledge of which way up to hold your instrument helps too!

If you think you might be interested in joining us, why not come along to our rehearsal one night. We meet on Tuesday nights at 7pm in Millburn Academy in Inverness most weeks of the year. See you soon.

We currently have vacancies for a keyboard/piano player and a drummer. We also have room for another trumpet and a couple of trombones. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be interested, please do get in touch with us. We are a very laid back affair.
